Learn from the Experts: Schoen Yau Lectures on Differential Geometry PDF 13

Once every three years, Lehigh University and Harvard University, in conjunction with the editors of the JDG, sponsor a conference whose purpose is to survey the general field of differential geometry and related subjects. Speakers at the conference are likewise selected for their prominence in a given field and for their innovative contributions to it. Hence every third volume of Surveys is a publication of those presented talks.

Computational conformal geometry is an inter-disciplinary field between mathematics and computer science. This work introduces the fundamentals of computational conformal geometry, including theoretic foundation, computational algorithms, and engineering applications. Two computational methodologies are emphasized, one is the holomorphic differentials based on Riemann surface theory and the other is surface Ricci flow from geometric analysis.

Richard Melvin Schoen (born October 23, 1950) is an American mathematician known for his work in differential geometry and geometric analysis. He is best known for the resolution of the Yamabe problem in 1984. 2ff7e9595c
